Ad hoc court
[edit]Can anyone explain me what means this "ad hoc court" in international law? Is this error or i just dont know? --WhiteWriterspeaks 22:28, 6 December 2012 (UTC)
Nope, it's not a mistake. The term "ad hoc courrt" just means "temporary" - the ICTY is meant as a temporary court to try certain people who commit crimes as listed in articles 2-5 of the Statute. Once the tribunal has finished hearing trials (and any appeals) in the remaining cases on its docket, it will close. --The Historian (talk) 13:49, 7 December 2012 (UTC)
removing POV tag with no active discussion per Template:POV
[edit]I've removed an old neutrality tag from this page that appears to have no active discussion per the instructions at Template:POV:
- This template is not meant to be a permanent resident on any article. Remove this template whenever:
- There is consensus on the talkpage or the NPOV Noticeboard that the issue has been resolved
- It is not clear what the neutrality issue is, and no satisfactory explanation has been given
- In the absence of any discussion, or if the discussion has become dormant.

Since there's no evidence of ongoing discussion, I'm removing the tag for now. If discussion is continuing and I've failed to see it, however, please feel free to restore the template and continue to address the issues. Thanks to everybody working on this one! -- Khazar2 (talk) 12:27, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
Criticism and response
[edit]This section is a huge mess. There is no "response" to the criticism at all, only whimpering from its apologists - the very attitude which built the establishment in the first place. The critics argue from a wide variety of angles and strike at its foundation (for instance, how it operates, how it differs from the conventional notion of a court etc) and these in turn come from numerous sources. By stating that the criticism stems from "Serbian nationalism" is neither here nor there - either Marko Hoare rebut the accusations or he doesn't. It is irrelevant from where it originates, it is the quality of the arguing and nothing that any court supporter has published even scratches the surface of what the critics write. They amount to nothing more than attacks and they do not address the content. When something is political, nobody who supports its creation is going to see reason. The only people a critic may aim to influence is the onlooker who might be in two minds and I believe they have done this very well by explaining the background and the facts. --Zavtek (talk) 11:42, 9 November 2013 (UTC)
Ina Vukic
[edit]I removed comments by Ina Vukic, she is not a human rights activist, she is an HDZ ideologue and propagandist. Her comments come from her own personal opinionated blogsite (see http://inavukic.com/2012/12/16/insidious-peddling-of-the-myth-of-serb-pers/#comment-154735), which is not remotely reliable and has few if any objective sources. All she knows how to do is badmouth almost anyone who persists in disagreeing with her. Quis separabit? 21:58, 29 April 2015 (UTC)

Like almost all "war crimes" courts, this was a kangaroo court
[edit]Like most "war crimes" courts, this one was set up by the winners of a conflict to punish the losers. Any connection with justice is illusory. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sayitclearly (talk • contribs) 22:14, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
