Dish Network
[edit]just wondering if anyone knows if Dish Network will ever get anime network —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.6.188.49 (talk • contribs) 16:00, 27 Sep 2005 (UTC).
-- They offer some of it through VOD (DiSH On Demand [1]) . Look on the bright side, at least you get the 4 hour Syndicated Block of the FUNimation Channel on CoLour TV (It's in the public Access Channels). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 70.246.208.182 (talk • contribs) 23:15, 9 Sep 2006 (UTC).

Verizon?
[edit]Verizons page states that Anime Network will be on board on Jan 1,2007 and its not there. WTF?
- Removing Verizon FIOS, this appears to have been a rumor. Verizon FiOS includes the AnimeNetwork rival Funimation channel instead. MkDoyle 03:27, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Content
[edit]Three or so years ago when i first used AN there was much greater selection I could choose AN on the OD menu and see several options for different genres od anime action, comedy maybe a drama and a 4th option too along with bento beatbox. Most genres would have 3 or more series to choose from. Now that i have comcast again and have access to AN its just one page of anime with maybe 6 series that dont sound too interesting. When did the change happen? --Bushido Brown 08:12, 20 May 2007 (UTC)
- When they started to offer Anime Network Subscription On Demand to providers like Cablevision, Cox Communications, and most recently Suddenlink Communications they felt since people who pay for Anime Network should have more content than the Free On Demand customers so naturally cable companies who offer TAN for free don't have a lot of content. This is also why all the new anime premires on Anime Subscription On Demand before going to Anime Free On Demand. Plus another reason Comcast's Anime Network selection is smaller than what the offer Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks is because Comcast customers get what is called Anime Network Events On Demand which offers volumes of certian anime series offered by Anime Network for a price of $3.99 per volume. So that is why your content is small compared to Subscription TAN offered by Cablevision, Suddenlink, etc. and Free TAN offered by Time Warner and others. Hope this helped. UK Show List
[edit]I updated the shows being shown in the UK but as the American channels shows aren't list I was wondering if the the UK list should just be scrapped as it will probably just increase, for instance Voices of a Distant Star will start before the end of the month. channels
[edit]may be a fluke for my area... but Anime Network on demand airs on something called CEOD, Cutting Edge On Demand, Channel along with G4, ADult Swim, and several other on demand networks on channel 0651 for time warner cable. showtime airs on channel 0001. must be a regional thing as to what channel it airs on. shadzar|Talk|contribs 11:06, 11 September 2007 (UTC)
Anime Network UK
[edit]Apart from the name, does Anime Network in the UK (a 2 hour block on Propeller TV) have anything to do with Anime Network in the USA? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Astronaut (talk • contribs) 14:31, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, it is programmed by the same company that programs Anime Network, plus both share the same shows (currently). ♪♫Alucard 16♫♪ 10:44, 3 January 2008 (UTC)
- Seems to have stopped transmission on Sky Channel 195 sometime over the Christmas hols. I'll update the article if someone can say when it that happened? Astronaut (talk) 05:59, 4 January 2008 (UTC)
DirecTV VOD (channel 1889)
[edit]Anime Network VOD may be gone from US DirecTV as of 2/18/09. On my receiver, it is no longer listed among the VOD channels, and tuning to its old location (channel 1889) prompts a message "1889 (ANIME) is currently not available". Its few remaining shows (all stuff ADV licensed years ago, like Azumanga Daioh and Raxephon) are discoverable via directv.com, but recording them via the internet seems to fail quietly. Let's keep an eye on this for a few days and see if either AN or DTV announces anything official. Invalidname (talk) 17:01, 18 February 2009 (UTC)
Time warner cable reference..
[edit]Number 4 is outdated,change it with this one: http://www.theanimenetwork.com/VOD-Schedule/Time-Warner.html 98.14.15.12 (talk) 03:52, 20 February 2009 (UTC)
Mediacom...
[edit]Mediacom may or may not still be offering this service. While the channel is still in the listings,it is missing from the premium section of the ondemand menu. When you push the ok button on the channel,it takes you directly to the normal ondemand menu. --50.83.182.63 (talk) 17:42, 21 July 2012 (UTC)

Different Owners?
[edit]According to this newspost, Sentai Holdings, LLC. claims they're the owner of Anime Network.
Although I'm unable to verify the current business dealings of all the ADV successors, it seems that Valkyre Media Partners & AEsir Media Group are still registered & 'active' businesses in Texas (according to Texas's taxable entity search), but it's all a spiderweb of connected companies anyways.
also according to that article, HIDIVE is owned by Sentai Holdings, which contradicts what is on the page:
HIDIVE, LLC, a new company which is not affiliated with Anime Network, Section23, or Sentai Filmworks
(also copied on the Sentai Filmworks page... and i'm guessing John Ledford's page needs updating because according to his LinkedIn, he's the President and CEO of HIDIVE, INC. too) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Weebasenji (talk • contribs) 06:01, 4 November 2019 (UTC)
