[edit]This was too hard, but it had useful material if it could be simplified to the point where a person, who is not a medical student, could understand it:
- After dentinogenesis begins preameloblasts differentiates into ameloblasts which deposit enamel. Ameloblasts are tall column like cells with a nucleus away from the secretory end of the cell. The ameloblasts develop a Tome's process after starting amelogenesis. This process is responsible for the production of enamel in the form of rods.
