[edit]Whoops. You're right, when I put the estimated age, I just subtracted wrong. He was/is 39. CryptoDerk 16:39, Oct 5, 2004 (UTC)
Greg Raymer was born in 1964. He says so on his own website (http://www.fossilmanpoker.com/faqs.htm #1). I edited the entry with this correction.
I removed this line: "In 2005 he appeared on the chat show Heads Up with Richard Herring to discuss his life, career and his love of poker." At best, it's not very interesting--he's been on a lot of talk shows--and at worst, it's just a commercial for this Richard Herring person. Lord Geznikor 13:57, 6 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Non-main event cashes aren't notable enough to put in an article. The "personal life" section was hardly that; it was more of a trivia section. Feel free to message me if I've deleted something you consider to be noteworthy.
Also, I need somebody else to sort the references 'cos I suck at them. JaeDyWolf (talk) 15:05, 19 February 2010 (UTC)

[edit]The quote, "No player since Johnny Chan had come so close to repeating as a World Series champion.", seems to be incorrect because Dan Harrington reached 17th place in 1996 after winning it in 1995. Am I wrong? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.62.167.71 (talk) 05:32, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- After winning in 1987 and 1988, Johnny Chan came runner-up in 1989 to Phil Hellmuth. So if Dan Harrington did better than that in 1996 then he WOULD have repeated! JaeDyWolf ~ Baka-San (talk) 10:57, 24 July 2010 (UTC)
- Read the quote again. I stand by my question. (Hint: this quote was about Greg Raymer coming so close... since Johnny Chan?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.62.167.71 (talk) 05:32, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- That quote probably should be revised to: "Other than Dan Harrington in 1996, no player since Johnny Chan had come so close to repeating as a World Series champion." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.62.167.71 (talk) 05:55, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, I see what you mean and I agree. JaeDyWolf ~ Baka-San (talk) 06:42, 27 July 2010 (UTC)
