Unincorporated communities
[edit]Does anyone else think that Price should be added onto the list of unincorporated communities? Cause I tried adding it and it was taken out. I still think it should be included since it has a Wikipedia page of its own and it says it is in Rockingham County. Also, I think the names of the unincorporated communities here need to be reorganized into alphabetical order. NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 06:32, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
With regards to Charles Watson-Wentworth
[edit]@DiscoA340: The sentence "People in North Carolina were still fond of [Wentworth] in the years following the independence of the United States" is indeed an odd one. I can consult the Heritage of Rockingham County book in the future to see if it offers some clarity on the issue. In my recollection , this statement is broadly true to historical fact. NCPedia states that Wentworth was "the British prime minister at the time of the repeal of the Stamp Act and a supporter of American Independence". I'm not sure the all the gritty details on his persuasion of the House of Commons to repeal the Stamp Act is really needed, but I'll look into it, though I doubt a blanket statement to the effect of the people of North Carolina broadly admired Charles of Wentworth is really warranted without some tweaking. -Indy beetle (talk) 10:05, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Indy beetle Okay, thanks for looking, even if you can't find anything which could reference it. While it may be true, statements like those are very hard to prove when regarding historical figures online. Thanks for your help and have a great day! DiscoA340 (talk) 12:22, 5 May 2023 (UTC)
