[edit]I've translated Næss' quote from Norwegian. In case my translation should be flawed in any way. Here is the original quote in Norwegian: "Hvis jeg ikke ville tatt risiko hadde jeg heller spilt tennis eller golf." Mendalus 17:49, 14 Jan 2004 (UTC)
I guess there was a mountain high enough.
Or porous enough, in this case. --Totorotroll (talk) 18:01, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
First ascents
[edit]The line At the age of 19 Næss jr. already had twenty first ascents of Norwegian mountains under his belt. effectively says that he was the first person at the top of 19 Norwegian mountains in the mid 20th century. This seems rather unlikely. Surely this should be 19 first ascents of climbing routes on Norwegian mountains? --JBellis 16:11, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Name of father
[edit]It is actually German Raab, but if the solution of using a (sic) is against some rules, remove it. Just to insure against edits based on misunderstandings of given name German and German nationality :) Paaln (talk) 11:26, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Unsourced article=clean up template
[edit]Besides many articles on the Dutch wikipedia, I have néver seen an article that doesn't even have one (!) soirce added. Clean up template is added. Robster1983 (talk) 19:29, 7 March 2011 (UTC)
Declined speedy
[edit]@217IP: I've declined this since there is a reasonable assertion of notability here. While the articles here are referring to his death, they're more than just obituaries and there are enough of them in a wide variety of newspapers to where I'd say that's a reasonable assertion of notability.
