[edit]The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.
I'd like to inquire about adding the following web site to this page. It is a complete information and business database for Douglas County Georgia. The page is titled Douglas County Georgia - Metro Atlanta Guidebook http://www.metroatlantaguidebook.com/douglascounty/ Thank you, Paulette
Subdivisions
[edit]This is the only county entry I've ever seen with a listing of subdivision names. That was a lot of work to whoever entered the list, but do you think it is necessary? --Mjrmtg 05:48, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
I don't think it's necessary, I've done a little clean up to the page, and with the original authors permission, I would like to delete it, or clean it up to maybe a paragraph stating some of the more well known subdivisions. I am a resident of the county, and most of these places are common names, but to most outside of Douglas County/Douglasville, they are non essental. Perhaps link to maybe Tributary or Brookmont, two subdivisions that are large in scale, and being built currently. -jazman82
This is the only county page that lists subdivision names, and they aren't necessary at all. --Mjrmtg 01:08, 24 September 2007 (UTC)

Moving the subdivision names to talk page for now, if nothing is done with them in 6 months, they'll be removed from the talk page also. --Mjrmtg (talk) 20:40, 24 May 2010 (UTC)
Weather Records
[edit]I removed the obviously false "record lows" for Douglasville, GA. The state record low is -17F; -24F is not real data.
However, should someone find real, sourced data, feel free to add that. The record highs look more realistic, but are also "unsourced"...Ryoung122 16:34, 12 March 2012 (UTC)

Named after Frederick Douglass?
[edit]In the absence of reliable sources supporting it, I've removed the claim that Frederick Douglass was the original namesake of the county. —C.Fred (talk) 04:06, 11 March 2017 (UTC)
- You made the right decision. Anyone who needs to be disabused of the Frederick Douglass rumors should go read this: https://lisalandcooper.com/douglas-county-georgia-named-stephen-douglas/ (archived version)

2000 Census Section Needs Fixing
[edit]I don't really have time to fix it at the moment, but the numbers in this section need some closer inspection. Chances of the same number of people in the 2000 census matching the 2010 census is extremely unlikely and already contradicted by the historical population table already included in the demographics section. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dypsonian (talk • contribs) 16:42, 7 November 2017 (UTC)
