BalochVoice
[edit]Would appreciate it if you could discuss whether a link should be removed. AmeriDesi (Talk) (News links - removed links added by 203.170.77.254, because BalochVoice appears to be a supporter of the terrorist Baloch Liberation Army)
BalochVoice happens to contain a listing of violent attacks that have taken place within Balochistan over the last few years. It's one of the very few places on the web where such information is available. Please do not arbitrarily remove material from an article based on your own point of view. Hulleye 11:05, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)
OK. Maybe I was a little too impulsive there. I'm willing to discuss it. AmeriDesi 11:42, 10 Oct 2004 (UTC)

Discussion at Talk:Pakistan
[edit]Would you like to join the animated discussion on the Pakistan's talk page? The current issue is whether "Pakistan is famous for its support of Taliban and 9/11 terrorist" is a suitable sentence to start the article's first paragraph. Your contribution would be much appreciated, as the current discussion seems to be more of a dialog between Ragib and SamTr014 Talk:Pakistan. Thanks !--PrinceA 06:37, 18 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Photos
[edit]Hello, I was writing an entry on Serbian Wikipedia about Urdu language. I am having hard time finding interesting pictures with everyday object that have Urdu script on them. If you would happen to have any magazines or daily newspapers or chocolate wrappers or CDs from Pakistan, with Urdu on them, could you take a photo of them and either post it on Wiki commons or take the photo and release rights into public domain? I would really appreciated it!
this is the link to Serbian Urdu page Urdu. It is in Serbian, so you may not understand it, but you can see photos I have there now.
Thank you again,

- Please don't blank sourced content on wikipedia. If you have a dispute then provide your own sources.
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Caste, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Hkelkar 20:11, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't vandalize the pages. I removed a few sentences and gave justifications for their removal in my edit summaries. AmeriDesi 20:48, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yes, some of them were okay. I dunno who put in that Baloch insurgency thing there. However, since CNN refers to the Mukhtaran bibi thingie as caste related it needs to belong there per WP:Verifiability. Also, can you find a WP:Reliable Sources that attest to the repeal of the Hudood ordinance in Pakistan? If you can, then, instead of removing the sourced statement, append it with the latest development.Hkelkar 20:58, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
- Never mind. I did it myself. I appended the information to include Musharraf's actions against Hudood, and the Islamist opposition to the same. Hkelkar 21:13, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
Supreme Court of Pakistan
[edit]Please stop removing material that is factual. Supreme Court of Pakistan did use the Law of Necessity to give power to the military. So if you dont like the fact that your court did this, dont remove the material, you clearly violated the rules of wikipedia

[edit]Urdu Wikipedia
[edit]Dear friend,
You seem to be an active Wikipedian from Pakistan. We have an Urdu Wikipedia that needs all the help that it can get. Currently, we do not have many active users and we will really appreciate if you would consider becoming an active contributor. As you are already familiar with Wikipedia's style and rules, your presence would also help elevate the overall content quality.
Hope to see you soon at Urdu Wikipedia

Invitation to events: bot, template, and Gadget makers wanted
[edit]I thought you might want to know about some upcoming events where you can learn more about MediaWiki customization and development, extending functionality with JavaScript, the future of ResourceLoader and Gadgets, the new Lua templating system, how to best use the web API for bots, and various upcoming features and changes. We'd love to have power users, bot maintainers and writers, and template makers at these events so we can all learn from each other and chat about what needs doing.
Check out the Chennai event in March, the Berlin hackathon in June, the developers' days preceding Wikimania in July in Washington, DC, or any other of our events.
Best wishes! - Sumana Harihareswara, Wikimedia Foundation's Volunteer Development Coordinator. Please reply on my talk page, here or at mediawiki.org. Sumanah (talk) 15:11, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
