Speedy Deletion
[edit]Please do not tag an article for speedy deletion without leaving an appropriate edit summary, such as "Request Speedy" or "CSD A7" or other descriptive note. -Chunky Rice (talk) 16:30, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- No, any time you are tagging a page for deletion, whether it's speedy, prod or AfD, you must put a descriptive summary in the comment field so that people who have the page watchlisted are notified. -Chunky Rice (talk) 16:47, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I'll expand that request: please use a descriptive edit summary no matter what sort of edit you are making. This includes tagging for deletion, tagging as a fansite or unreferenced, or making any other sorts of edits. This helps other editors know what is happening with an article. I denied your speedy deletion request, but opened an AfD on the article. Feel free to comment. Aleta Sing 16:37, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
I declined your speedy here. As I noted in the summary, playing for the national team is certainly an assertion of notability. If you disagree, please feel free to take it to AfD. TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 16:45, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- note, the same applies for Gerhard Du Preez TravellingCarithe Busy Bee 16:46, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Jarrod Saffy
[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing, such as the edit you made to Jarrod Saffy. If your vandalism continues, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Londo06 16:47, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
The same applies for your edits to Sean Rutgerson.Londo06 16:48, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Okay, outwardly it did appear to be an attack on South Africa or rugby league.Londo06 17:19, 4 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit]- Also, please note that CSD:A7 is even more narrowly constructed than our general notability guidlines. In order to avoid A7 deletion, an article needs only to have an assertion of notability. Many articles that might be deleted as non-notable at AfD or from a prod will meet this requirement. -Chunky Rice (talk) 17:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- No. I mean, they're already tagged as stubs, so I'm not sure why you'd do that. I'm just trying to explain to you why I denied pretty much all of your speedy deletion requests. -Chunky Rice (talk) 18:31, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
